Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ascent platform (“Service”), operated by Codexa LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (“Ascent”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Ascent is a micro-learning platform for product managers, providing lessons, quizzes, progress tracking, and optional AI coaching features. Content is generated and curated by Codexa LTD. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.

2. Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and update it if it changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Ascent offers a permanent free tier and paid Premium subscriptions (monthly or annual), billed in GBP. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. on our behalf; by subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms. Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period.

4. Renewal & Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; access to premium features continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Refunds

Subscriptions are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at hello@ascentlearning.app within 14 days of the charge.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Use the Service in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive.
  • Scrape, reproduce, or redistribute our content without written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software forming part of the Service are the property of Codexa LTD or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our content without our express written consent. Your own data (progress records, notes) remains yours.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codexa LTD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
